The South African Rooibos Council is an industry forum comprised of members active in the Rooibos tea industry. Cape Natural Tea Products is a
member of this forum and as such we are involved in the funding of research projects that the Rooibos Tea Forum has commissioned.
These projects include:
Field production
- The BOC (Biological, Organic and Chemical) project, which addresses production-related issues for the Rooibos tea farmer in an environmentally sensitive manner. This project is in its 3rd year and is starting to make some concrete recommendations with regard to agricultural practices that increases the yield and quality of a Rooibos tea field - Agricultural Research Council - Small Grain Institute (Bethlehem)
- Research on the production of organic seedlings and fertilization of Rooibos tea - Agricultural Research Council - Small Grain Institute (Bethlehem)
