Cape Natural Tea Products is 50% owned by a group of Rooibos farmers and we therefore source our tea directly from our farmer shareholders. This enables us to manage our supply chain very efficiently, as well as feeding market information back to our farmers. In turn, the producers have direct interest in supplying their best quality teas, both organic and conventional.

All of our rooibos tea grows on the slopes of the Cederberg mountain range in a 150 km radius from Clanwilliam in the Western Cape. The unique microclimate of this tiny geographical region allows for the best quality natural teas to be grown. The harsh climate and fertile soil combine to form this rare herbal treasure, only to be found in South Africa.

Unlike Rooibos tea, which has been exported for the past 40 years, Honeybush tea has only been commercially farmed since 1999. Cape Natural Tea Products has been at the forefront of establishing commercial honeybush plantations in the Eastern Cape in collaboration with ASNAPP.

Honeybush tea is a deliciously fragrant herbal infusion prepared from the leaves and stems of the Cyclopia species, which grow only in the mountainous regions of the Cape, in South Africa.

We have selected the organically grown Sweet Leaf TM variety to bring only the finest quality Honeybush tea to the market place.
